Innovation
“Innovation is more of a cultural rather than a technological process” says the institute for innovation policies. And we are fully convinced of the fact. That is why we are strongly committed to helping Modena companies, above all the small and medium-sized ones, to develop their potential by first of all fostering awareness with respect to this topic, which is so fundamental for corporate growth.
Having a competitive edge, above all in a difficult situation like the one we are passing through at the moment, is crucial.
The economic fabric of the Emilia-Romagna region has always been distinguished by small and medium-sized enterprises closely focused on product innovation, which has always proved to be a winning factor and a bulwark against the global crisis.
We support these companies and their ability to innovate through new ideas and the quality of human resources. That is why we insist so much on promoting the human factor in order to boost production, and present ourselves as intermediaries between schools and the manufacturing world, listening to the professional requirements of economic operators and cooperating in the training of human resources to prepare them to tackle the challenges of the global economy.
All this must necessarily be backed by sustainable development.
The development paradigm utilized thus far is distinguished by the simple exploitation of the natural environment. A huge exploitation of resources, accompanied by economic inequality and social unfairness.
It has by now become obvious that economic growth must be accompanied by care for the environment, but not only.
Sustainability turns around four fundamental component parts:
Economic sustainability: seen as the ability to produce income and jobs for the people.
Social sustainability: seen as the ability to provide conditions of wellbeing for the population (security, health, education) equally distributed among classes and genders.
Environment sustainability: seen as the ability to maintain the quality and the reproducibility of natural resources.
Institutional sustainability: see as the ability to ensure conditions of stability, democracy, participation and justice.
