About us

Modena Emilia Romagna Italy Empowering Agency, the Special Branch of the Modena Chamber of Commerce for international business promotion, was established by the chamber Committee in 1996 to cater for the numerous demands of exporting companies in our district. We have been dealing with international promotion for the past fifteen years and provide backing to small and medium-sized Modena companies intheir internationalisation processes. Thanks to the memorandum of intent signed in July 2010 by Unioncamere Emilia Romagna and the Modena Chamber of Commerce, our scope has been widened and we now act as an operative instrument for other Chambers of Commerce in the region and for exporting companies in other provinces.

• two of Italy’s ten most important exporting provinces, Bologna and Modena, seventh and eighth in the ratings respectively;

these figures suffice to describe the centrality and wealth of our region’s economic fabric.
Emilia Romagna is in fact one of the most important Italian regions in terms of per-capita income and ranks among the top 15 most industrialised regions of Europe. Our manufacturing system is based on industrial districts, distinguished by high technological specialisation and close cooperation with Universities and the research sector. The province of Modena alone incorporates five highly important districts:

• mechanical engineering,
• biomedical,
• ceramics,
• food,
• textiles – clothing,

all of which fuel our exports.
